Social Media Fatigue?
Is Social Media over? At an IMC (International Management Consultants) meeting this morning, this was a hot topic. Some folks Twitter, some blog, some use Facebook, others swear by Linked In.
One of my oldest buddies and professional colleagues, Jim Cameron of Cameron Communications, wrote a great blog post this week about the Fallacy of Social Media. Read it here. Amen brother.
As a pragmatic business coach, I always advise my clients to engage in this social media frenzy only if they can quantify its value…and turn it into paying customers. Twittering just to get followers? Hmmm.
