Remember when you needed to get signed permission for school events?
Bold Business Works Monthly Newsletter
Summer 2015
Hope you are having a great summer. Even though school doesn't start for a little while, I'm giving you all a "permission slip." Read on!
Are you waiting for permission?
Consider it granted.
Since my last newsletter, I have been on three different trips and moved (yet again! this time just three blocks away but that doesn't make the move any easier)
Work had to take a back seat for a little while so I took the month of July off from sending out an email newsletter. I gave myself permission to skip it.
When I do workshops I frequently give my audience permission. For instance:
Permission to scrap their current website and get a new one.
Permission to NOT tweet.
Permission to do only what works for them and reaches their ideal clients.
When we were kids it was natural that our schools (the place with rules) needed our parents' authority to sign permission slips for a field trip. We couldn't do it for ourselves then.
But we can now. When we are in our businesses, there are no rule makers. No authority figure who has to "grant" permission.
Many people still act as if they are in school and won't do anything different. As business owners, we need to be aware of situations (like mine this summer) when you need to give yourself a pass to do something different---whether a new thing or to skip an old thing.
Having trouble giving yourself permission? A coach can come in handy. I have been doing a lot of Quick Start sessions with clients who need to overcome specific obstacles to get back on the path to growth and success.
I look forward to hearing from you! Yes, I am hard at work this summer, so plenty of appointment times available to get you geared up and ready for the fall.
