Why does it always take longer than you thought to build a website?

Birthing this new website feels almost as drawn out as being pregnant. At least that had an end date. Cause if I didn’t go into labor, my doctor would induce and that baby would be born. The website final “punch list” seems to grow by the day. By the time you read this, hopefully it will be done. Was building your website arduous and never-ending? Tell me your story.
